Answer:
I've read that Herpes can be mistaken for ingrown hairs for a lot of men. UTI's and yeast infections have been thought the culprit of itching/stinging etc. symptoms that were really caused by Herpes. I know when I was first diagnosed, I actually went to the doctor because I thought I had a UTI, but it turned out to be HSV instead.
