Question:
I had sex with a girl who has herpes HSV2 13 days ago. Yes, I know. It's just been 13 days, but I know I've been infected with it. I used a condom which I thought would protect me. I shouldn't of had sex with her, but I was controlled by the lower half of me at the time.

Ever since 3 days afterwards, my legs are incredibly itchy. I thought I saw a pimple also on my butt and all I feel is uncomfortability now all the time. I can definitely tell you how upset I am over this. I haven't been eating correctly, I went through a fever the other day and also felt stomach pains. So far, everything is fitting into the field of Herpes.

I just don't know if I can handle this. I'll always have this with me now I guess. Plus, to make things worse, it's a holiday so I don't think I can even get any medicine to help me.

All i can tell you is things WILL GET BETTER, "time heals all pain". I went thru the phase of not eating, not going to work, staying in bed for a few weeks, i never thought i would feel normal, or that anyone would even want to be with me, well i was wrong, it's not really that big of a deal. We all take chances in life, it's just part of living, some of us just get a bitter deal. Given some time, and medicine you will feel better.

How are things with you?? Did you have an OB? Did you get on any meds??

I've been on valtrex. So far I haven't really noticed much except less itchiness.

My legs still feel too tender everyday. I thought symptoms were supposed to stop??? And for the 2nd time since getting it I have had headaches and a bad fever that go away within 6 hours.

I am really disgusted on the lack of information on Herpes. This is a serious disease that has crippled my ability to sit almost or wear jeans. I feel uncomfortable all the time now.

When is the pain going to go away???
