Hello,

I'm really freaking out. I think I have Herpes...

Here is what happened:
I slept with this guy (9 years older than me) without a condom a week ago. He sorta forced himself on me, but that's beside the point. He didn't have any symptoms and assured me that he had a STD test 3 weeks ago that came back negative. However, I don't know if he was tested for Herpes or not... I think it was only for Hepatitis, HIV, and syphillus.

Here are my symptoms:
About 3 days after, I noticed that I have redness, irritation, and raw skin on my perenium. Also, I have a few bumps (which hurt when touched) around my clitoris. When I pee, it irritates the red skin, so the perennial skin burns. I also have a yellowish-white, thin discharge all the time. I do feel sorta flu-ish, but I haven't been eating well and have been smoking a lot, which often results in me feeling like this anyway. My lymph nodes are inflamed around my neck, NOT the groin. I do have tingling sensations everywhere on my body.

I got tested for herpes on Friday, but results don't show up until a week after. In the meantime, I have been very anxious.

Please help... does this sound like a typical case or another STD? Is this a yeast infection? I don't have a lot of blisters, but maybe 4... and none of them are grouped together.

I can't believe this is happening and really scared... HELP!

Unfortunatley it sounds alot like symptoms of H. But untill you get your results,it can not be said for certain.Try not to worry/think about it(I know,eaiser said than done) but that will only aggravate things if it is H .
Your having the same feelings everyone else has had when confronted with the reality of possibly contracting H. Trust me,if you do end up testing positive,it will get better...time has it's way of healing emotionally
I'm starting to accept the facts that this is what i have,I cannot change it,I can only try to learn to live with it physically as best I can as emotionly also.If anything good can be called coming from H,it is that I am living healthier than I ever had before.A healthy body and immune system is the best defense in living with H.Best wishes for a negative result!

I heard that vaginal discharge is uncommon for Herpes... is this true?

Also, I don't understand something. The guy that I got it from told me that he never had any problems or symptoms for STDs, and that the people before me who have had unprotected sex with him never had any problems either. Wouldn't he at least have a suspicion that he has something? If no one ever had symptoms (all partners) and there are only a few days in a year that a person "sheds" the virus, the odds are against you that you will contract the virus, right?

I guess I'm really unlucky because the symptoms are there. Are there any bacterial infections that have similar symptoms (e.g. rawness of skin) to Herpes? I'm praying to God that it's something bacterial.

information there regarding many infections that may be confused with H.
