Hey there. Just curious...do some Herpes blisters look like ? Mine aren't painful or anything. They do get a little itchy (especially after a bath). Had them on the shaft and outside base of the penis. Now they are spreading up towards my stomach like wildfire. I don't touch them or anything....wear loose clothing. This started about 2 weeks ago when I saw one small bump at the bottom of the shaft and shrugged it off. A week later I had a sore throat and painful urination...thats when I saw the red bumps. Got tested last tuesday.

I also have painful urination, sore throat and fever. At first I was told Gonorrea or Clamidia (The antibiotics I was given didn't help at all) but then started having a fever, back pain and nasty sore throat....so I thought it is Herpes especially with the blisters but mine dont look like any of the pics anywhere that I've looked. I googled them all.

I have the textbook signs of herpes but the physical look of the blisters and their spread does not match at all. Does herpes spread like that.

I'm waiting on test results...was told 2-3 weeks for that to be done. Freakin horrible wait time....the waiting is worse than the (potential) virus.

Hey black kitty.. I know you are going threw a great anxiety and depression right now. But i am confused a little. I got a few questions to ask you.
1. Did u had any unproctected sex with someone.. If yes what was it.
2. After how many days did you start to feel the first symptoms.
3. where did it happen at first.. example the genitals or the body..
4. Have u had chicken pox before
5. If the first red bumps appear on the genitals have u being touching down there, and also grabbing other parts of your body..

To tell you the thruth black kitty... Herpes doesn't occur like that, it usually appear where the virus first entered, it doesn't spread all over the body like yours, unless you being touching the red bumps and without washing your hands with soap you being touching your stomach and arms.
That to me looks more like chicken pox or it could be syphillis, which it has a cure. But I am preety sure that your test would tell you.. Good Luck and please answer those questions for me, if you can.

BTW - The picture above is not me...thats just what the blisters look like. 2 on my stomach...bunch on the shaft of the penis (including new ones)...bunch at the base of the penis around my pelvis-lower stomach area (including new ones) and now one on my right top part of thumb (I think). I went for lab test as soon as soon as I saw the blisters. They said 2-3 weeks for test results.

1. Unprotected vaginal sex with my girlfriend. She said she hadn't had sex in 1 and a half years. I emailed my previous girlfriend and she said she has no problems but will get tested just in case.

I was tested for STD's about 3 months back. I had told my family doctor off hand during a work related injury visit that my 2 previous girlfriends complained of getting yeast infections after having sex and that I was getting cloudy piss. She tested me for STD's (blood and urine test) and she gave me some anti-biotics. She said I possibly could have a bacterial infection in my urinary tract or something.

2. About 3 weeks ago at end of night shift I felt nauseous...like I felt like I was gonna start coming down with the flu. Had fever and very sore throat. Fever went away next day but still had sore throat...6 days later went to doc and was told had strep throat. Given anti-biotics...sore throat went away. Girlfriend said at that time you can get Strep throat several times as she has (mis-diagnosed that whole time like I was...herpes?).

About 1 1/2 weeks later had sore throat, major peeing pain and what looked like large acne pimples. Went to 24 hour clinic. Doc says its hard to tell but she thinks its gonorrea. Given anti-biotics. Couple days later had fever and peeing pain still there...Went back to family doc...she said most likely Herpes (blisters and fever). Given 4 tablets of Valtrex (went off anti-biotics) and told to take 4 more 12 hours later. Fever went away...still have sore throat and blisters which are spreading. Blisters started just on shaft and base of penis with 2 on stomach. Now they've spread to the pelvic-lower stomach and one on back of right thumb. Sore throat is gone. Blister swelling seemed to be going down but not it looks like its going back up.

3. First appeared on the genitils with 2 on the stomach.

4. Yes I've had chickenpox before...I remember what they looked like and these look similar...scab and all.

5. The first 2 days I touched down there...but after that was very vigilent not to after browsing the web more about herpes. Thing is my family doctor (as well as other websites) says the herpes virus cant survive outside the body for more than 2 secs so I dont understand how it could spread so rapidly if that was true. Other says watch out for wet towels and always wash hands.

To me it looks textbook Herpes but the rapidly spreading blisters and pictures I've tried comparing it to convince me otherwise....maybe I just want to believe its something else....these lab tests seem like they are taking forever.

I was thinking I might have secondary stage syphilis...now. The blisters around my penis are disappearing and now I'm getting red wart like bumps on my hand (front and back). Still hurts to piss and now I'm coughing. This sound right?

My doctor is away on holidays and the office there still hasn't got my test results back. Freakin horrible....

Nope its herpes. Went to a walk in clinic. My family dcotors still on holidays. They called the lab and they confirmed on the phone. They gave me anti-biotics for the peeing pain.

Also the doctor didn't know what the spots on my hands are but I think I found them...looks like this but hasn't broke. All over the main fingers on the right hand pretty much (the one i used to finger my girlfriend with).

I was going to say you might possible have Molluscum contagiousum (sp?) which is also a viral std and can be anywhere on your body. But if they say you have herpes, then that is what it is. Although the finger thing can be herpes whitlow and the stuff on the body can be M.C. Double check with your doc after s/he is back from holiday.

So ya I just had my second outbreak already. I had a one week reprive and now it came back. I felt human there for a few days.

First flu like symptoms and then an outbreak on my hands. Not as noticeable as the pic above only slight red discoloration if you look hard.

The other areas seem fine.

This sucks as I can never shake hands or touch anyone that doesn't have it in case I'm shedding the virus. If I had kids somehow I would never be able to touch them for fear of giving them this virus.

My throat itches a bit but its not sore. I had a little trouble breathing last night because of it. I'm wondering if I have herpes in my throat? I did go down on the GF hence the hands and throat?

Not on my face though luckily...look forward to the doc appointment in 2 days. Probably go on suppresive therapy.
