Can you get reinfected from someone who has severe case of HSV1/HSV2?

If you have HSV1 already but rarely get symptoms, your partner (you find out later) gets many OB severe/has a bad problem, can she/he reinfect you?


I had 1 o 2 cold sores before an ex, a year after I ended it, I got 3 or 4 OB.

Can you get reinfected from someone who has severe case of HSV1/HSV2? You can't contract something that you already have.

If you have HSV1 already but rarely get symptoms, your partner (you find out later) gets many OB severe/has a bad problem, can she/he reinfect you? No, that's not how herpes works.

I had 1 o 2 cold sores before an ex, a year after I ended it, I got 3 or 4 OB. That's just a coincidence and has nothing to do with your partner's herpes.
