I get cold sores. It's been about a year since my last one. I hate it not only is it embarassing it's humiliating. Those who don't suffer from HSV1 or 2 can't possible understand the emotional conflict. Ever have someone point it out ...look at you laugh ha ha herpes. Not funny.

Yes many have been blesses with a lot, but when you have an OB the only thing that runs through your head it the emotional turmoil.

Kudos to all the posters who have been struggling and helping others on this board.

Those who don't suffer from HSV1 or 2 can't possible understand the emotional conflict. Never assume that people are not understanding. Sometimes I think we (the folks that have herpes) place too much burden on ourselves.

Ever have someone point it out ...look at you laugh ha ha herpes. Not funny. That's just an ignorant person - plain and simple. Why would you care what people like that think anyway? Why would you want to spend time with a shallow person like that - know what I mean?
