I got a Blood test almost a Month ago and its came positive. My doctor prescribed Valtarax and asked me to have it when you have outbreaks. I asked about the type, he said it?s hard to say the type. The test result says like the exact way motioned below.

Herpes simplex 1/II IgG

HSV 1/II IgG 1.2 High
index 0.0 - 0.8
Negative <0.9
Equivocal 0.9 - 1.0
Positive >1.0


2 months back I had some itching sensation on the tip of my genital and my doctor said it is Chlamydia. I had medicine for that and its went off in a week and after that I felt some uncomfortable feeling inside my penne and felt like urinating all the time. I went to the doctor again and then got tested for HSV.


What does this test result mean? Do I need to test it again? If yes which test is 100% accurate?

There is any specialist Doctor for STD? How do I find them?

I would also like to know if there are specialist doctors for STDs. It seems that even gynocologists are friggen clueless as I cannot stand mine right now. I would like to talk to an "expert" or at least a counselor that can help.
