Isn't a fever blister the same as a cold sore?
Question: When I discussed stds with my partner and mentioned I get cold sores. I asked the same. They only got a fever blister once when they were really sick with a high fever. They were tested for all stds including herpes and all was negative. Isn't a fever blister the same as a cold sore and isn't this HSV1? I know this is a rhetorical question. Usually you see fever blister/cold sore when HSV1 is mentioned in text. Answer: When I discussed stds with my partner and mentioned I get cold sores. I asked the same. A fever blister is herpes and a cold sore is herpes too. Isn't a fever blister the same as a cold sore and isn't this HSV1? Yes, fever blisters are the herpes virus and usually it's herpes simplex virus type-1. I know this is a rhetorical question. Usually you see fever blister/cold sore when HSV1 is mentioned in text. It's all herpes just the same... not a bad question at all. Angela  Answer: thanks. you can still have a negative HSV blood test even though you had an outbreak 1 time? Answer: thanks. you can still have a negative HSV blood test even though you had an outbreak 1 time? A person either has herpes or they don't have herpes. It's important to have proper herpes testing done the 1st time in order to find out what the correct status is. Herpes Testing Hope this helps, Angela  Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
