HSV 1 or HSV 2
Question: HI, I have never experienced traditional symptoms of genital herpes. But after an encounter this last week that involved everything but sex (mutual masturbation and oral sex), the girl claims that her doctor diagnosed her with genital herpes. And she said she hasn't been with anyone for some months, so thinks it has to be from me. If it is from me: Is it more like that I transmitted it through my mouth to her genitalia, even though I had no cold sores at the time, and as a result she would have type 1 genital herpes. or is it more likely that I have genital herpes with very mild or no symptoms, and was maybe shedding the virus, and then touched myself and then her, transmiting the virus to her I've been going crazy the last couple of days. I got a blood test done. In the meantime, my mind is all over the place. Any input on what you guys think this is would be greatly appreciated. thanks Answer: TSS11 Sounds like all we can do is wait. I mean mostly you but to understand how more ways it can be transmitted. Perhaps thru this trying time you will be the one who learns most about this unique situation and someday be the one who can educate others. Yours does sound unusual. Perhaps you will be the one who can learn more about the way the shedding infects others. I don't quite get the viral shedding. I mean it's like we can't do much about that because we can't see or feel a shedding so we can't know when a shedding experience is infecting another. You know, curiosities like: does the shedding have a different color or odor from the normal skin. Doesn't seem like it. When does one shed. Can a shedding experience be detected. How long does a shedding last. What is the process of the shedding. This viral shedding has become interesting to me too because of the possibilities and precautions needed to prevent infecting another. I prefer to abstain completely from love making forever if that means keeping my loved one free of this discomfort and constant tediousness, to say the least. Maybe TSS11 you might be one in a few that have had this particular type of experience with this disease. Maybe we all could learn something from you. Wishing you both well :D Will keep posted and with my curiousity will continue to find more ways to learn about this shedding. There are folks out there that do know about shedding. I just want to know more about this aspect of the virus. More education is better. :D Answer: can anyone simply answer which is more likely. transmitting orally to someone else's genitals. or touching yourself and then someone else, transferring the virus? both cases : no noticeable symptoms present thanks Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
