Hey, im 16, and as long as i could remember ive had these small bumps at the very end of my shaft near my balls, these bumps dont puss or anything, they are just right next to where pubic hair would be, and i was just wondering if this was just hair follicules or the sweat gland things that are where the pubic hair is???

let me just add, i also have a few bumps on my shaft....well very very very small noticeable bumps, none of them hurt, no irritation, only time they get red is if i try to...squeeze them to see if it'll pop. im just guessing its...um...cant remember the word but it keeps the penis moisturized. but yeah....Thanks.

I'm wondering...Have you been sexually active? If not.. it is EXTREMELY unlikely you have herpes. Herpes is only spread through direct skin to skin contact with an infected person. You say the tiny bumps have been there for a long time.. aren't inflammed..and haven't itched or burned? those bumps sound like sebaceous cysts..my hubby has those...they're not caused by an infection. just blocked pores from overactive oil glands...don't squeeze them.. or you can cause bacterial infection..if they become larger or a cosmetic concern... see a dermatologist.
If you Have been sexually acitve... oral or intercourse...it's possible to contract herpes even if your partner did not have symptoms. People may not develop symptoms of herpes...like the sores.. but are still able to spread it to others. Yeah, this is normal. They look like tiny 'hair bumps' and they don't pop or go away. I remember trying to pop them and do all kinds of stuff when I first noticed mine way back when.

Luckily they don't get any worse either. I don't even notice them anymore.
