I have a quesion about wether or not this is an STD. I went to a party, where there was a stripper. I beleive that some of her vaginal fluid got on my lower lip, there was no noticeable cut or abrasion there. I wiped it off immediately, and used mouthwash.

About 6 or 7 hours later, i noticed that there was a sore near where it was on my lip. It seems like a canker sore almost, but it might be herpes. I am really worried about this.

Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since when do strippers allow men to go down on them? For fucks sake, do people just not care where they stick it as long as its stuck? Hookers, nasty strippers...gawd. Yeah you probubly contracted herpes. Now you have to be realllly carefull as NOT to infect anyone genitally with your mouth sores. Lesson learned here? This isnt a judgement free forum. You are in a forum with people that have STD'S..some of them got them because they are really stupid (and those that got it that way take responsibility for thier stupid behaivor)..most of the people here got it because they were with stupid people. People that come in here infected with std's from hookers and strippers will get very little support from me. The reason this is such an epidemic is because of people like hookers and strippers out there spreading their filth to idiotic people willing to support their behaivor. Making a mistake means you balanced your check book wrong, or forgot to grab cheese at the store when you were making tacos for dinner, not going down on a stripper or sleeping with a prostitute and contacting std's and who knows what else. That is called destructive behaivor, not a mistake.
I support people that need to be supported..the rest should go see www.medhelp.org in the std area. They enable and support that kind of behaivor. There are people here that have to suffer the rest of their lives because of behaivor like this...he asked for it when he miraculously got herpes from a strippers "fluids"..his future partners that he will infect didnt ask for it.
I can throw all the stones I want, my house is not glass. I got what I got because they dont teach you in health class that your husband can give you genital herpes from a faded cold sore. Once again, education needs to improve.

I kind of liked the lack of judgment on here (considering any sort of risky behavior warrants some judgment). Ignorance is ignorance, regardless of your lifestyle. I don?t understand your differentiation between people who engage in stupid behavior and people who engage with people who engage in stupid behavior.

I?m sorry, but I know plenty of people who get cold sores. They know what they have, and they know it?s contagious. I would consider your situation to have occurred in err as well. But, I just think it?s important to refrain from playing the blame game on such a slippery slope. Did the man engage is some nasty behavior? Yes. However, every individual is responsible for her or his own sexual health. It is MY responsibility to learn my partner?s sexual history and to use protection, and the same goes for everyone else. Please let?s not play into the rotten stereotypes about sexually transmitted diseases- that dirty people are sullying the purer amongst us. I think you?re right that people need to be held responsible for their choices, but unsafe sex is unsafe sex, regardless of moral standards. I don?t expect this place to be judgment free. We?re not professionals, but there has to be a bit of sympathy involved for anyone who contracts such an illness.
