Result of Rough Sex or Something More?
Question: I broke up with my boyfriend the 17th of May, and haven't had sex with him since the begining of that month. Last Friday (the 9th I think) I met up with a male friend who I haven't seen in years. One thing lead to another and we had sex. He gave me oral, and used a condom. The sex was rough, really really rough and I likes it. The next day I was a little tender, but that's to be expected. As time went the tenderness turned into a throbbing pain soley on my clit and either of my labia (It started on one side, than moved to the other). My clit looks fine, just a amidge swollen. Every time I urinate, the pee touches the clit and it burns really bad. It's gotten to the point where I can't even cross my legs because the rubbing hurts so much. I stopped using condoms with my boyfriend and I later found out that he was sleeping with someone else when I broke up with him. Again I haven't had sex with him in over 2 months. Since them I've felt fine, no head aches or fevers or anything. There are small bumps, not in my vagina, but on the outest lips, where the hair grows. I did a ruch job shave earlier this week and I'm prone to shaving bumps. I hope that's all it is, but right now I can't be sure. The bumps are not small, easily popable, and scrab in about a day. The maount of discharge I have is the same but there is a dominat ordor. It's not coming from the vaginal canal, but from when it's around my clit and labia. The smell is almostt masculine, and reminds me of the guy I was with. It was the first time having sex with this particular man, so maybe I picked up come of his scent. I'm not sure. Please let me know what you guys think. Im a high school student and can't really afford a test or medication any time soon. I'm assuming that some of you have some form of herpes, and I know everyone experiances symptoms differently. Is this a case of a clitoris injury or something more? Please help Answer: Yeah sounds like you inflammed your clit for one thing. See your clit is larger than you think.. the part that you can see and touch at the top of your labia minora is only a small part of it. The larger part of the clitoris( the crus) divides into two halves and is hidden under the muscles of the labia majora(outer lips). So this probably explains your discomfort in that area. OR more seriously you could have injured your labia resulting a small tear that has now become infected. Now as far as odor goes... Some people just have a natural hormonal "musk" but musky is not a particularly offensive smell. Two reasons for PU feminine odor: poor hygiene or infection. You should never have a foul odor coming from your vaginal area. You say this is an unusual odor for you, so I'm assuming you have good feminine hygeine... by that I mean you clean your coochie real good everyday..get all the nooks and crannies. If your coochie is squeaky clean and you still experience this strange odor... my advice is to see a doctor for a check up you may think the problem is not coming from the vagina but it could still be bacterial vaginosis. or a tear in the labia that has become infected Answer: Yeah sounds like you inflammed your clit for one thing. You know the human mouth is full of nasty germs. Now as far as odor goes... Some people just have a natural hormonal "musk" but musky is not a particularly offensive smell. Turns out I have Type-2. Since he was the only man I was sexually envlolved with in nearly 2 months, i'm assuming that I contracted it from him somehow. The ordor was a result of a yeat infection. The doctor said it's because since i've obtained the smell, I've been cleaing it 3 times a day with Feminine Soaps and Washes. This messed up the bacteria down there somehow. Oh, and I did bruise my clit. Sigh, just found out yesterday that I have Herpes. I'm okay with it and everything, minus the pain (and those HUGE Valtrex pills. "Little Blue Pill" my ass). The fact that it's so common leave me with a comfort factor. Since I'm new, and experiencing my first outbreak and all, is it normal to be in this much pain? Everytime I open my legs, close my legs, shift, or even move my lower body I experiance some type of pain. And when my urine trickels back and touches my vagina, it hurts like bloody hell. One more thind, i noticed a hair in the middle of one of the sores. It's really bothering me (not physically, I have a little OCD thing going on). SHould I pluck it, is that okay, or just leave it. But then when the sore scabs up, will the hair remain in there. If that happened I would be forced to actually break thescab and go and get it, so can I just pluck it now? Answer: You can pluck the hair now as long as you are very careful.. but let me warn you it will tingle. Wash the tweezers when you are thru. Yes it's quite common to have significant pain with your first outbreak. When you wash or touch yourself down there..please wear medical gloves so you don't spread the virus to another part of your body. Keep your coochie clean..I know you dread the very thought of touching it right now. gently swab the lesions with soapy cotton balls then rinse in the shower or tub. At the very least .wash your hands thoroughly.if you touch a lesion. Soap and water will inactivate the virus. Keep your towels and wash cloths separate from other family members as the herpes virus can live on moist towels for several hours. you may wish to use cotton balls for washing and paper towels to pat dry so you can just throw them away. Wear loose clothes or just go commando  Check with your doc about getting an anesthetic cream to numb the lesions..I won't swear to it but i think lidocaine 2% is prescription only..Maybe someone else here knows for sure. Finish all of your meds. You'll feel better soon. Answer: Thanks for the feedback, you actually answered some questions that were on my mind. But since it's possible to spread herpes to another part of your body, does that mean that the virus is not in the blood? Also, is it normal for the first sores to bleed as they scab. Mine are doing it now, and I just want to make sure it's nothing weird. Answer: You can spread herpes to another part of your body only by direct contact with the active lesions, say with with your fingers... then immediately touching another part of your body..transferring the live virus to that area. This is called autoinnoculation. It happens most often with your primary infection. That's why I strongly suggest using gloves to wash yourself or anytime you are touching that area. ALWAYS wash your hands really well. The virus itself is NOT found in your circulatory blood like HIV or hepatitis virus would be. You can't infect someone with herpes if he comes in contact with your blood for example, from a wound. Antibodies to herpes will be found in the the blood. When genital herpes is active, it can be spread via vaginal secretions. Some sources say herpes may be found in semen and others say not. oral Type 1 herpes is found in saliva when the virus is active. Remember the virus can be active even if you don't have symptoms. Yes it normal for your lesions to bleed.. this is especially true with your primary outbreak.any fluid that comes directly from your sores including blood is infectious. Please do not disturb the scabs as they form or you will delay the healing process and may even risk infecting the sores with bacteria. Try to keep yourself clean and dry down there. Answer: BLOW DRYER!!! Yep...sometimes I dry my "netherregions" with the old blow dryer! Sounds kinky I know!!! (makes up for the lack of sex during these illustrious time periods!) hahaha. But seriously, after a shower, get the ole blow dryer out, carefully and gently dry "down there". (don't be overzealous...dont wanna hurt yourself!) But this will keep you from hurting any scabs you might have and it is a nice clean way to dry off!!! :D Answer:  YEP! BLOW DRYER is GOOD I prefer the handheld showerhead for those no nookie, illustrious time periods! Gives a whole new meaning to "coming clean" :D Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
