Question:
In the past year I have gotten about 5 "bumbs" on my right outer labia. There is always only one bump at a time and it feels like a large pimple (hard bump underneath a little smaller than a pea and hurts alot) eventually it will sort of come to a head or I will pop it and white pus comes out ( not clear liquid) it is not blister like and does not itch. Could this be herpes?
I have only had unprotected sex vaginal sex with my boyfriend of a year and Ihad the first "bump" before we ever had sex. I have had unprotected oral sex performed on me but never with anyone who had a cold sore at the time....

Have you been to the doctor when you have these? In my experiences, I had to wait for an outbreak to run to the doctor simply because I wasn't familiar with herpes and I wanted the diagnosis. If you don't feel like waiting, remember you can request STD testing from your gynocologist but keep in mind that herpes is not typically tested for. YOU HAVE TO REQUEST HERPES BLOOD TESTING! Otherwise the unfortunate attitude I've encountered is that it cannot be tested for if there aren't any outbreaks, which is incredibly inaccurate; a friend of mine was told this and he later visited his family doctor to get the blood work done. Come to find out, he carries a strain of herpes. And the clinic told him that he was fine so long as he didn't have any outbreaks! I digress...

I have never been to the doctor with them... though I am going to try to make an appointment tomorrow so I can stop worrying about this. I just really hope its not herpes since i got the first one before id ever had unprotected vaginal sex and they feel deep under the skin not like herpes which ive heard is superficial. ive been reading up and think it could be folliculitits because i shave down there... idk. any other ideas and comments are very welcome

I have had something similar and I got it right after exercising on my treadmill. My dr said it didn't look like herpes. from ALL the information I have been reading it doesn't say anything about white discharge.

I am confused as well.

went to the doc today and she said it was not herpes and rattled off some fancy name for what she said was just a pimple on the labia. she said it was just clogged oil glands irritated by shaving and the best thing to do was to try and exfoliate down there as gently as possible. She has been my doctor for about 4 years now and I trust her completely combined with the fact that my sexual history is not very risky. big weight off my shoulders though. thanks for the advice and I hope this info helps everyone else.
