Welcome to www.thanktoday.com !!!

just wanted some input

Question:
ok i know that i need to go see a doctor, i am on tuesday because health services at school has been closed all weekend. I just wanted to hear what you guys thought. Im probably just freaking out for no reason, but today i got a 4-5 white sores in my mouth, one on uper part of my cheek, one under my tounge on inside of my gums, one on side of my tounge, and a little one on front of my tounge and one in the back of my mouth. None of these are huge sores, they are just little white bumps, hopefully canker sores. The reason im worried is because ive never got sores in my mouth my whole life, i got the occasional canker sore when i first got braces years ago but that is it. i havent given oral sex to anyone but my first girlfriend, and i know i didnt get anything from her. All ive done lately is kiss and neither of the girls appeared to have any sores. hopefully someone here has oral herpes and can tell me what their sores look like compared to mine, and maybe if there is other things associated with oral herpes that would help me know if it is just a canker sore or not.

thanks

Answer:
They sound like canker sores. Herpes usually are on the outside of the mouth and are not white...they look more like blisters. Have you been under a lot of stress lately? Have you been eating foods with high acidity (orange juice, foods with vinegar, etc), or have you had stomach acid problems. All of those can trigger canker sores. I had a bout with them recently due to stress before my period. You're a guy, so the period part doesn't fit, but stress is a major factor in canker sores.
