I shared a beer with a friend about 1 month ago. Ever since my lips have been extremely dry and sensitive. I keep putting vaseline on them to help but they never seem to get better. I also have been sick twice since then. Could this be herpes?

It seems i have had every other symptom besides blisters. Is that possible with herpes?

Oh yeah, I also get these little pieces of dead lip skin that stick off my lips. They are pretty thin and stick off maybe an 1/8 of an inch. Does that sound familiar to anyone?

how about little tiny faint white spots that seem to appear under the skin of my lips. They don't pop out at all but you can see them through the flesh of my lips if you look really close.
