Painful Urination, No Sores Yet
Question: I had unprotected oral sex with someone that had a cold sore the week earlier and she claimed it was gone. We then had protected intercourse. Ever since I have had slight pain in the tip when i urinate almost regularly. I have pretty much convinced myself I have genital HSV-1. I have read that the first outbreak can be severe for some and not for others. This is the 5th night since and I have not noticed any sores but I do have a frequent itch mostly on my balls. Is it common to have painful urination and no sores? or is this just the beginning of my first ob? Could this be something else? a UTI? another STD? Im getting tested asap Answer: getting tested would be the right thing to do :) Answer: common to have pain when u pee> nope. sooo theres def. something going on down there for u. and yes, in the beg. stages of a ob it will hurt to pee. go to the doctor, get tested. maybe u just have yeast> either way thats not something u want to leave untreated it can last months like that Answer: I was tested via swabbing the urethra, blood test, and piss test(I dunno if this is for herpes). Everything came back negative. I understand that the blood would be negative shortly after exposure because antibodies have not been built up. If I had pain in my urethra, would the swabbing have confirmed it? Its been over a month now and the painful urination stopped after a week. I have a new partner and would like to clear my mind of this... Anyways my balls seem to have been very irritated for quite some time now. Nothing symptoms other than a painful itchy and irritated feeling on my scrotum when i walk. Anyone else share these symptoms during a first outbreak? I plan on being tested again around the 3 month mark. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
