My sexual contact was last sat and ive noticed something burning in my genital area while i was taking a shower. I thought i saw something on it liek a little cut, but it can also be from masturbation. I dont know. No i have nothing on my genital area, sometimes i feel some itching or im just thinking its mental. I got freaked out when i thought i had it because i jumped out of the shower to examin myself. I didnt see any bubbles just a little burning, and then later on at night time ive notice a little cut. Like i said i have nothing now, but doea it mean i have herpes type 2? Ive gotten tested right away and i wont get results until wed, but its driving me crazy, i am lifeless, the thought of it just freaks me out. Ive spoken to my close ones but still. I just want to know if i do have it or not, because i dont see anything on my genital area. Ive done research and that if you do get outbreaks it lasts from 7 to 14 days. I do get cold sores but then again my doc said it can be allergic reaction to citruses and when i do not consume them i dont get them, but just once i do i have a coldsore look alike the next day. Can anyone help me out on this.

its possible you have it. I never have ever had a blister....nothing typical.....feels like a cut but nothing visible when you look at the area. I also get a light rash on a different area at the same time but sometimes it is only the rash and other times it is only the symptom that stings and feels like a paper cut but i cant see anything on the area where it hurts. I have HSV2. Also, your doc says your cold sores could be an allergic reaction to citrus, however, cold sores are cold sores and that is herpes as well. A lot of people have hsv1 and do not know because they only get an occasional cold sore which they attribute to something else...but chances are you already have HSV1 (cold sores) and citrus is a very common irritant which causes the virus to activate to the surface. To be sure.....get a type specific blood test and you will know which antibodies you have to determine which type you have. You may have both types.....so oral
and genital (your mouth cold sores and whatever it is you think you have below) also, you might only test positive for HSV1 and that could be from your mouth sores as well as below because it is possible to get HSV1 down below making it genital HSV1....either way get tested....no one can say for sure except a test. Also, you might not have anything below but Im pretty sure you will at least have antibodies to HSV1 because cold sores are herpes too but people tend to want to ignore or discredit that fact. Then theres always some crazy chance you have neither.....who knows. But, if it comes back negative for both I would wait 2 weeks and get retested somewhere else because there are such things as false negatives....also sometimes it takes a while for antibodies to show up for new infections.........good luck...hope you are ok.

cold sores, usually outside of my mouth, im sure i have hsv1. Cold sores, i saw pictures of hs1 and thats what i had, but sinc ei stopped intaking citruses i havent noticed anything. What bothers me is HSV2 i feel as if i have that, looks liek a little red hmm i wont know how to describe it but its a red dot, a littl ebigger than dot and it looks liek its pealing off with dry skin. I cant see any blisters or anything liek that. i havent had any discharge, i feel liek somethign is there, it doesnt itch or burn, i just feel like somethign is there when it rubs off afainst underwear. :confused: I have gotten tested on friday, waiting for results, i just dont know if it does come up positive, how will i live my life, i want to live it healthy without infecting anyone. I have spoken to close friend and my family member and both will stand by me but its me who is hurtin gmyself inside cuz i feel like its the end of the world, dont get me wrong i am not stupid enough to kill myself but its just i do not know what and how to live it if it comes up positive, so far i set my mind up as it is positive. Good thing that it does not do anythign to production, but still i heard that even with a condom you can pass it through.

I got my IGM test results that shows if any outbreaks within last 6 weeks had to deal with herpes, and the main reason is i had a spot on my genital area. I went to a doctor yesterday he said its 50/50 chance but he said he coldnt tell because it was already healed and i got that red spot that gave me a burning feeling when it was rubbing agaist my clothes. My doc says it can me many reasons for that but then again nothing can be told for sure if it is or not, still 50/50 chance. I got my IGM today which was Negative. So that spot of my genital area could be probably from dry masturbation. I mean i have nothing on my genital area and it healed within 4 days. Tomorrow is the blood result to show if i have anything in my blood. I am sort of relieved, since i was worried that what i had was an outbreak, but with the research online and pictures, my spot did not look like any of the sumptoms, it just looked like i scraped sum of my skin off. Does IGM play a big role in result?
