HI,

I got my test results back today. I tested negative for both type 1 and type 2. The girl I was with has not received her tests back. She had genital symptoms that the drs thought were herpes, and claimed to have not been with anyone for a couple mths before me.

New worry: I hope I didn't get anything from her. If she got her first outbreak on a saturday morning, and our incident took place on a tuesday night, I'm wondering what my odds would be of having it trasmitted to my mouth if maybe she was shedding or what not? I have not had any noticeable symptoms at this point (dating 2 weeks after the incident)

What came first the her outbreak or your being with her......................the Saturday or the Tuesday. If you were with her the Tuesday after the Saturday, than I would bet that you are infected. If you were with her the Tuesday before the Saturday than you may be real real lucky.

TS if you were with her the Tuesday before Saturday then what 2BHealthy means by you're lucky is that her first outbreak was probably after you two had oral sex. That means you don't have it unless Saturday wasn't her first outbreak, it could have been her second or maybe third outbreak(she may have lied to you about it being her first outbreak). If it wasn't her first outbreak then on the Tuesday you had oral sex on her, she was virally shedding then and then the outbreak occured shortly afterwards meaning you're possibly herpetic.

I think it was her first because she never had concerns before. Although, her first outbreak may have gone unnoticed. Plus I don't know if someone is guaranteed to be virally shedding 3-3.5 days in advance of their outbreak. In either case, I have not had an outbreak myself, and has currently been 2 weeks. Thus, I think there's a good chance I'm safe.

What are typical oral herpes symptoms anyway? I read a lot about them online, but would like to get a first hand account of those who actually experienced them.
