Welcome to www.thanktoday.com !!!

Do you have the answer?

Question:
Hi, I am very new here...
I have been diagnoised with HPV, but still am unsure which type.
I had feelings in my genital area which lead me to the doctor, who than took a culture test.. The culture came back positive, (in May 06) I have since had 2 blood tests that show nothing!!
Finally went to a specialist and she says that I probably have the 1 in my genital area. With being upset, I did not ask all the questions I should have. Like if I never had a cold sore, can I pass this by kissing?
I realize I am probably classified as HPV2 because of the location.

I have read alot here today and saw pictures......so far I believe I have had 2 episodes with only a rash feeling and tingling....I am way lucky!

Still have to live with this forever and am coming to grips with it, but have been in denial since May and now wonder if I can pass thru kissing?
Does anyone know?

Thanks
E

Answer:
hpv> warts.
hsv> herpes.

yes if you have a cold sore you can spread it by kissing.
oraly is usually classified as 1, genital 2- but the test would tell you specifically what you have where.

Answer:
Thank you for replying.

I never had any sores.
My OB was very mild in the genital area.

I imagine I have HSV2.....can I transfer from kissing too?
No sores ever.

Thank you

Answer:
Sorry waxed..that was suppose to be HSV not HPV.

Answer:
if u have any sores, or are in any form of a outbreak- touching, kissing, sex, etc. can transfer it. so whichever one you have, if you are having a ob, anything u do can spread it.
even not having a active ob, can spread it to "shedding" thats why its just a good idea to play it safe w/ sex.
