someone told me that if you have herpes and you have a outbreak and its over or healing that you can never shave that area again cuz it will cause more outbreaks and they will never heal??? is that true?? i looked it up but couldnt find anything mayb some of you no. it just sounds weird 2 me but what do i no i just got this virus.

That is definitly not true.

I've shaved/waxed my entire southern region and my outbreaks do not get worse and don't have the 'no healing' problem.

thank u thats what i thought but i just wanted to check. it sounded weird 2 me but the person that told me also thinks its like chicken pox n its gonna spread like wildfire and shes gonna get it. i tried xplaining it to her but she doesnt listen. its very annoying

I guess i am different than you guys.....I get a rash (one of my outbreak symptoms) in the pubic hair region and when it isnt there i tried shaving and immediately got an outbreak the next day or day after....so I tried it again a few months later and same thing. I think it depends where and what type of outbreaks you get and your indivdual body determines what will cause it to surface.

I shave my whole nether region, or most of it, and never had an outbreak caused from that. Perhaps if I do a "bad" shave (ie. cheap razors, etc.) and I get the razor rash and that area is irritated, THEN it might provoke an outbreak, but other wise, nope...no problems.
