:( The doctor called me today to give me the results from my pap smear he said it was abnormal and it showed signs of the lowest form of herpes, now I was floored cause I'm 46 Yes I know STD's Have no age limit it's just I thought I was always being very careful.But now he wants be back in his office to check for cancer has anyone gone through this or what are the chances of me having cancer because of the herpes virus??

But he probably seen sores inside of you and tested them ..came out as HSV
You probably didn't even know. You can get them inside of the vagina too.

The abnormal pap would be the cancer scare...not the herpes.
