Well I have been dating this guy for a year and a half. I have never cheated on him, always been good. So, I find out overall that he has cheated on me with oh um lets say a good 5 people. Most of them strippers. Anyway here I am with herpes a few months later. Hey ain't life grand! :twisted:

I ask the question because:

it is emotionally catastrophic to be cheated on
it is also (same) to have someone play with your emotional and physical health. we can control the physical, we cannot always control the emotional. We must learn to be strong, and learn about the virus which is oh so important. Now that you know you have it, you should feel powerful, not powerless. No one has the right to take that away from you.

Even an STD can be a blessing in disguise. When I was younger I contracted herpes. I dont remember how, kissing a guy with a coldsore I guess. I had a cold sore when I was 11 and never heard from the virus again. Untill just this past month when the corners of my mouth on both sides were really chapped and itchy, then I had a cluster of blisters form around the bottom of my mouth. I knew immeadiatly what it was, but i was concerned as to what was causing the outbreak. Stress? No, I'm making money, and not working much, things are going great, im lessed stressed then i've been in a long time. Menstrual cycle? no. Sunlight? nope. Fatigue? nope. what it came down to is that my immune system must be weaker then normal for some reason. Not just mine, but my husbands as well. See he has had flu like symptoms on and off for the last 4 months, and mine have been present, but not as bad as his.
Then while I was away at work, the heat vent in the bathroom fell halfway out of the ceiling. Well darn, im gonna have to get matinence fix that. But in the four or five days that the vent was down my cold symptoms got worse, my blisters got worse, my husbands cold symptoms got worse.
Things started clicking in my head and upon further inspection I found toxic black mold growing in the ceiling material betweeen the metal duct in my bathroom. BINGO-apparently high concentrations of mold can cause immune suppression, which would be the cause of my outbreak.
But if I hadnt been having such an abnormal outbreak I would have fixed the vent, bought some tylenol, and told my husband to suck it up. Extended exposure to mold can cause central nervous dysfunction....And as messed up as it sounds, there is a reason for everything, and im grateful to have had the outbreak as a warning sign of other problems.
Herpes is not the end of the world, and can actually be an outward sign of what your body is dealing with on the inside.
