Blood Test Results
Question: HSV1-0.02 HSV2-0.15 Does that mean anything to anyone? Would love some input... Answer: I'm not a doctor, nor do I know what kind of test that you got. According to the IgG test less than .90 means negative for type II, but I am not sure for the Herpes type I. They did not explain these results to you? Answer: Well I was told by two different doctors that I am negative. This test was done the end of November. Both HPV 1 and HPV 2 were negative. My Gyno told me that just because it was negative doesn't mean that I have never had it (this was before he had seen my results). He said it was based on the numbers. He took one look and said affirmatively "no, you do not have herpes". I was just wondering if anyone had any more info on the specific numbers. All other tests have come back negative as well for any stds and strep b and yeast. W e i r d. Answer: .90-1.10 equivocal, meaning the test results are inclusive, >1.10 is positive. Under 0.90 is negative and is where you fall in. This is according according to the reference ranges on my test results. I unfortunately got above 5.00 for the HSV II antibodies.
