so for some reason, i checked out my genital area today. I'm really hairy, so im really pullin at my skin to see the area between my leg and my testicles. Thats when my heart stopped. I just saw 3 cuts.

Can this be genital herpes?

I have really dry skin to begin with, and i've been scrubbing that area extra hard lately with anti bacterial soap (which makes my skin really dry).
Could these little cuts come from me stretchin my skin too much? from dry skin?

damnit I don't live in the states so I can't just goto any clinic and ask for a herpes bloodtest!! The reliable ones at least!

just to clarify, theres no redness, just these three cuts in the area between where the leg meets the groin.

ahh im thinkin they are just cuts, espescially considering where they are.. they are at a point where theres lots of friction, and i have started working out again (running and biking) and i have bad skin so it shouldn't be surprising for me to get cuts.. however, im still worried and have no time to see a doctor tomorrow, and im afraid ill have nothing to show two days from now...

i know as boxofrain and waxed always say, herpes can be anything oh man =(

yes, herpes can present as "anything" :) lol......but there is a good chance that it is severe irritation due to the overwashing and drying out of that skin with antibacterial wash. I would just use a non drying soap....maybe something without a lot of harsh chemicals and I would not scrub anymore.....just lightly wash. ....then pat dry at the end and see what happens. Also, still try and get the appointment asap and maybe you'll be lucky and there will still be enough of the cuts in an active stage to get a culture. also, have you had a herpes specific blood test? do you already have herpes and wonder if this is a form of an outbreak or are you not sure if you have herpes yet?

I don't know if I have herpes.. right now I dont think I do.
The cuts look like, I dont know, the skin was ripped off or something.
I plan to goto the drop in STD clinic, but I was there two weeks ago to have that pimple around my lip checked out... but I will go again today. Hopefully they will culture it.

But they may think I am over stressin
