HSV1 or HSV2
Question: Im curious if theres any sort of indication on what virus you may have based on the severity of inflammation. The carrier of whom infected me only used her mouth (no genital contact) and my mouth seems a lot more irritable than my groin. Would this most likely be HSV1 or is it hard to determine based strictly on that. Answer: It's the same virus - just lives in a different spot most of the time - from what I've read... the only way to know is to have it typed with a blood test. It is less likely to get 1 genitally, and 2 orally - but it happens all the time. Snails and Butteflys are both bugs - one prefers the sunshine, the other hiding in the shade - funny how people accept butterflys over slugs the way they accept an oral outbreak over a genital one.... hhhmmmm... both bugs - buth hsv. Answer: :P Im just wondering for clarifications sake. Neither is great, and from what Ive read...HSV-2 is probably the less severe (but less acceptable form). In either case, if I was infected in the mouth and genitals...does that mean I will have frequent outbreaks in both places? I dunno, Ive sorta tossed the idea of any sort of normal relationships out the window now. Answer: I found some great information for free regarding HSV1 & HSV2. Got to the msn.com website, go to the health sidebar and click "herpes" under sexual health. There is a Dr. Terri Warren who has written a "Herpes Handbook" tha t you can print out for free. She claims that oral HSV2 almost never occurs and that Occular HSV is almost always caused by HSV1. There is also some interesting information on autoinnoculation. I have seen alot of answers to questions posted on this board. check it out...... Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
