Question:
Can someone describe the "paper cuts" that some people get from herpes?

Are they actually open tears in the skin? Are they from herpes lesions that weaken the skin, causing the skin to tear? Do they bleed etc...

I get the "paper cut" feelings as part of my outbreaks and nope they are never a blister, never a form of a blister, and never progress to anything like one. They are invisible when you look at the skin but I can feel them, like they are just too small of little cuts to be seen by the naked eye. Feels like when you get a paper cut but down below, for me around the anus, which is very painful.....like when any water touches there, or I go the bathroom......feels like when you have a cut and put salt water or alcohol on it. Once in a while there will be something very tiny visible to the eye but it is only the size of a grain or two of salt and it looks like a tiny divot (sp.?) the size of a grain of salt has been taken out of the skin in 1 or 2 areas that i can see but the pain is from more than just what is visible. I also get redness and a slight rash type thing in the pubic hair region above the vagina so it sucks because while i dont have blisters and never have, i have two different types of symptoms that occur in two different decent sized areas simultaneously all the time. When the rash lessens the cut feelings get worse, or more red around the area, and when the cut feelings lessen the rash type thing flares up a lot and itches but never does either place progress into the blister stage ever. I also have read on here that some people just get the cut like feelings, or minor abrasion looking little faint redness and that is outbreaks for them. It is so varied with everyone thats why I which doctors would become more educated on the insane amount of variations that herpes presents itself on different people.
