Question:
About a week ago i recived oral sex from my gf who had a dried crusted over cold sore at the time. Also at the time i didn't know that you could get genital herpes in this fassion. I have since been educated. About 2 days later i noticed a big red bumb in my pubic hair. It looks alot like a ingrown hair. It does not itch, burn, or feel sore. Also it has no puss head and just looks exactly like an ingrown hair. I have hald cold sores before and she has had blood test, pap smears the works done. I am kind of a hairy guy and i trimed my pubs not too tribly long ago and are still growing back. There are also two red specs near the sore around a couple of hair folicals. It is probably nothing but i am really pariniod. I have already scheduled an appointment for next week so hopefully i will get good news. Does this sound like it could be herpes? My gf already talked to her geinacologyst briefly about it and she said it was probably nothing. Does this sound like it could be herpes or am i just freaking out over nothing.

but u did say that u get cold sores> so your system is going to be alot harder to re infect, but its possible

I am almost sure it was the same strand too. We would kiss when she would have one and i would not get a cold sore. Also i have never really trimed my pubs before. I have little bumps where the hair is growing back it looks like when you tug on the hair (i think i have seen this on my body before) is that normal?

It's true that you're more resistant, but she was at the prime shedding periods... I would get checked out.
