no matter what get tested via herpes specific blood test because that is how you will know for sure. It will be useless to have the doc. look at it once its been healed. Also if the blood test is negative at first then make sure to go back and get retested via herpes specific blood test again in 10-12 weeks because it takes a while for antibodies to show up and you will be given a false sense of security if you just accept the first negative result ( if it is in fact negative at first........could be positive by the time of the first blood test. either way, get tested via blood.
