abrasion
Question: Has anyone here had an outbreak that looks like a flat abrasion, no ulcer or open sore and no blister? I've had HSV-1 since I was a little kid. I was wondering if I contracted HSV-2 and this symptom is so mild because of my immunity. The abrasion is located right underneath the head of my penis and appeared the day after frequent masturbation. Further, I had a similar abrasion on the base of my penis about a month ago after a weekend of rough sex. I used a condom with the sex, but had oral sex w/o a condom. Both abrasions appeared within a day or so after the intense friction and lasted no longer than 3 days. Thoughts? Answer: Hi there, I'm by no means a expert, and I'm also new to this forum so take my comments with a grain of salt. I have heard of herpes out brakes that look like what your describing. I currently think i may have herpes and may be having a out brake and i have no rash or sores just a constant burning feeling. Rough sex and masturbation have been known to trigger out brakes, so it could possible be herpes. On the other hand both activity's have been known to cause rashes. So to be safe get a type specific blood test done, that will let you know for sure and is the safest bet. Don't let the Dr. tell u they don't have em there are three different kinds western blot, Igg, and Igm. Hope this helps. Answer: I've had cold sores before and this looks and feels nothing like it. I understand the symptoms reflect one another. Also, it is very tiny and would have went unnoticed had I not been so meticulous about my body. Any other thoughts?
