Newly diagnosed, masturbation question
Question: I just found out I have contracted herpes. I have had numerous sexual partners and knew that there is no escaping getting an STI if you have more than a certain number of partners(I think after 15 the chances are really good you will receive a gift from the STI fairy). I accepted the risk, wore protection always, and just did the best I could, but now Ive got the herpes. I guess I now know what it means when someone says,"Its all fun and games until someone gets herpes." I would have preferred warts, but I got the one I least preferred. I guess there is always the chance I could get those too..lol. But my question is this, can I transfer the herpes infection to different parts of my penis by masturbating? I only got the out break on the base of my shaft (the part the condom didn't cover), only a single bump. Could I tranfer it too the head of balls? I thought not because I move around all day with my dick in my pants rubbing the herpes around everywhere anyway, so I am guessing masturbating is the same thing? Thanks again Answer: couldn't find out how to edit the last post. But I miss typed the question. Could I transfer the herpes to the head of the penis or the balls by masturbation? Answer: genital are genitals, the genital herpes area- is pretty much penis/vagina, surrounding area(base) until the crease of the thighs then all the way under(balls/perineum) and around to the top of your butt crack. so yes indeed you might notice a outbreak on your balls one day- but you cant spread it to the balls specificaly. but you can spread it to your mouth, or stomach/skin/hands (whitlow) Answer: Its actually still possible to spread the virus around to other areas but it only happens if you either have an active visible outbreak that you can see and touch it or run over it while masturbating, or if you are shedding the virus without visible symptoms and in that case you could spread it around without realizing it and might not even see anything still. My boyfriend didnt believe that could happen and it didnt for a long time because he masturbates in the shower and uses soap as a precaution, and doesnt do it if he sees anything visible...but a few weeks ago he did it when he noticed a little redness in an area and thought nothing of it, and the next day or two he had the redness and little spots in areas above and below where he saw the redness ....lasted 6 days....so just be careful. Try not to do it if you see anything that could be an outbreak....redness, or if your itchy there, or anything...always wash hands and if possible do it in the shower with soap so you lessen the chance of it spreading because soap and water kill the virus. Hope this helps you out a bit. Answer: Thank you very much for your answers. I have only had this for a week, and it is really mind blowing. I am still coming to grips with this. Answer: Hey Vege, you have a good attitude when it comes to this. I'm sure you'll make it :) Answer: i just masterbate as normal, ob or no ob, then wash my hands after... same with sex, after me and the GF finish we go bathroom and clean eachother - can be erotic if u make it that way. and she doesnt have HSV, and so far so good.
