I have never, ever, ever had any luck with any medication, as soon as I feel the tingling usually there it is no matter what i took I tried valtrex, acyclovir, releev, abreva EVERYTHING. This morning when I woke up I JUST KNEW I was getting one the I walked to the bathroom and there was the red irregular shape just starting with slight bumpiness. I had bought this NEW over the counter pill stuff at Walmart called herplex and decided to take 3 and took 2 tylenol extra strength, iced it for about 20 minutes, felt the tingling and buring all the signs of a coldsore then It was a miracle!!!!!!! The redness went away in about 25-35 minutes that has NEVER happened to me immediately told my boyfriend that it worked!! Called my parents and my best friend that has always told me that I worry to much about them. But I know I do I DREAD them more than anything but Its now late in the evening and I wanted to share my breaking news seriously anyone who suffers----TRY THIS!!!! It worked for me and nothing else has ever worked!!!

It doesn't mean you found a cure. You may have just found an effective treatment method that works for you. Try getting a blood test done to find out for sure.

Maybe your right but its now the end of august and still NO coldsores I take about 3-5 every morning and night, they taste like a sugar candy and are chewable (not bad:)) use carmex cherry flavored lip balm every day and night all the time keep your lips moisturized and healthy they'll feel soft too. I am so pleased with this herplex stuff- honestly I would get them every couple of months- try this stuff!!! For some reason its working i just want to help anyone that suffers from coldsores they are NO fun and I'd love to hear of others that have took my advice and have had any positive or negative outcomes. let me know if anyone has had any luck!!:p:p

Maybe you are simply a stock holder in Allergan? If you believe you have found a cure then forget the forum and maybe contact The Nobel Committees of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences for a Nobel Prize in Medicine.

I agree that this is not a cure. But it definitely works for me. The fact that it is homeopathic, is a plus to me, as well. Check it out, before you bad mouth the product. I think it's great.

Shenda I have no other motive than to share the knowledge of my experience and to gain insight from others. I was hoping others had the same experience and I did want the dialogue. Like the person that started the string said, I just happened upon it in the store. Although, the subject line may be misleading, as I don't agree its a cure. I did think it was a valid topic. If not, I apologize. My intent was to gain insight through this forum.
