i was just told on wednesday (4/25/07), that I have herpes simplex 2. I am in shock, but now that's it's saturday, and from putting my body through so much stress over wondering (wtf am i gonna do now)! i'm just gonna live and deal with it. ain't nothing else i can do. i know i can't change the fact that i have it, but at least now i know i can chose to be more careful (and feel that i have to be, now that i have herpes) with whom i have sex with. well i don't know what else to say, but i'm going to read threads and post.

I too just got diagnosed on wednesday....The hardest thing i've had to deal with. I just wonder how much harder the whole dating scene will be its not like it's easy out there, now one more thing to think about when meeting people. I also think about my family and how i must be really clean and safe around them...i would hate to expose any of them.

I agree we must accept and try to cope and i do find that slowly it will get better, it has to!!!

Stay positive with the good things in our lives and this too shall pass!!!

heard it on labour day, HSV2, does not know what it means, but try to cope with the shock. Hope I can make the best of it!

you just heard on wednesday too, whoa. yea, i think about my daughter, i don't want to infected her, so i'm careful, washing my hands alot more. always been good with handwashing etc.
