First outbreak for 2 1/2 months?

Question:
Could this possibly be happening? Diagnosed with H1 genitally Feb 15 by doctor. Type specific test came back negative so this must be my first outbreak. After acyclovir, it is now March 15 lesions were gone for a few days but had discharge and one lesion returned Took two rounds of diflucan, lesions have been gone for two days , discharged stop and this morning I wake up with another lesion. What is going on? This must be the same initial OB because I havent seen any crusty sores. Does anyone have an opinion? Help :x

Answer:
its normal dont worry, inital outbreaks can last a very long time, since the body hasnt set up antibodies till now, it takes some time.

during my first ob, about a month in, all was looking good- then i woke up the next day and it was like hell broke loose. i figured those sores had no place to go the first time....

just stick with the meds, if anything i would ask to try a diffrent one maybe its the meds?

Answer:
your sores never need to become crusty just so you know. That happens with some peoples sores..like they have defined stages and go through different phases...but not everyones will crust, etc. Some will just kind of get smaller and disappear....and some outbreaks may not be blisters/sores, outbreaks can present in all kinds of ways....just redness, little cuts, pain but nothing visible, sores, little bumps, just one spot, etc. So, dont base your outbreaks being over by seeing them crust up, as not all outbreaks even do that...some just kind of heal similar to a little cut. Also, it is normal to have long lasting outbreaks....a lot of people have their outbreaks clear up in a few days to 2-3 weeks but my outbreaks symptoms have lasted months and always seem to look like everything is fine one day and the very next day the symptoms are back with a vengence or sometimes they go away for 2 days, only to return for weeks again. It depends on how your immune system is working, if there is something compromising it, how much the virus invaded your body during the initial contact where the virus gained entry to your body, and your stress and anxiety level or depression surrounding the outbreaks....that all will cause them to last longer or to be contantly reocurring, in which case it seems like the outbreaks are never going away or are the same outbreak all this time, when in fact it is multiple outbreaks following one directly after another so quickly that before one can heal, another outbreaks has already caused the virus to come to the surface again, producing a continuous cycle. I hope things get better for you but please know your situation is not that crazy and that other people do experience their herpes experience the same way as you have been.
