Question:
My ex boyfriend not told me he had this virus... knew all along and also gave it to his 2 past ex girlfriends. He's ruined alot of live. His ex before me claims she doesn't have it. But i know it is possible.
I want to keep praying I don't. I know it's a struggle. And i know if i do i will not find anyone who will want to be with me again.

I honestly don't think I do have it... its been a year and i haven't had an outbreak...
but a few weeks ago there was something that showed up... it looked like a blood bruise on the top corner of my vagina and leg... really small... and within 3 or 4 days it slowly disappeared... it wasn't painfull... or itchy..or anything like that... but it didn't look like anything at all..

Can anyone tell me whose been diagnosed how long it was until your first outbreak? I'm just curious... because i've gone to the doctor and they said they can't test unless i have an outbreak, i do know that there is a blood test... but my doctor won't test me for it.

Please can i have a few replys because I do know people have different times of there first outbreaks... has anyone had over a year or a year??

there are some people who will never have an outbreak and then there are others whos outbreak came a week later or there are people who have an outbreak after years of having none. it is possible that you have it and just have no outbreak. i suggest you find a different doctor who would be willing to give you a blood test to determine explain to them that your ex has herpes and you want to know if you contracted it from him. if he is knowingly going around having sex and not telling his partners he can get in trouble with the law.

I had been living with my now EX boyfriend for 7 months when he told me he thought he was about to have a herpes outbreak.
I Freaked Out! I said "You have herpes and you didn't tell me?!!!!!!"
His reply was " I've had it for Years. My ex-wife never got it and we were together for 15 years, and my last girlfriend never got it and we were together for 12 years"
This man is in his fifties and has no flipping Clue about this disease.

Now I know they likely carry the virus but never experienced an out-break. Probably spreading it to others by thinking they don't have it.

Ok, So I broke up with him shortly after his disclosure because I lost all trust and respect for him! Eight months after breaking up with him I had my first outbreak. That would make it well over a year after first being exposed.

I'm sorry this has happened to you...It would probably be a good idea to find a clinic, or doctor that Would give you the specific blood test for the herpes virus.
