Hello I'm 16 years old and I've never engaged in sexual intercourse or anything sexual for that matter. About 2 weeks ago, I got a large bump on the my upper vagina.. a little above the clitoris towards the right side. I told my mom about it and she gave me some genital herpes cream to put on it[it didn't seem to do much]It wasn't itchy..just very sore to touch..almost like a boil, but it grew bigger, then one day when I was in the shower the large bump started to pus and a lot of yellow pus drained out of it. The bump was dramatically smaller now and then it healed and a scab grew over it and went away. [During this time I was very careful with my hands and towels when drying myself and what not..just in case I did have herpes] Now, 2 weeks later, I think I'm starting to get another bump on the opposite side. I'm really scared that I do have herpes, and I'll obviously tell my mom again and I guess we'll go get it checked out. What do you guys think. Please help. :(

The herpes virus can live on inanimate objects for a certain amount of time. If someone in your household has HVS, and you suspect you are having symptoms, it is probably better to be safe than sorry and get yourself blood tested. Hopefully it is nothing. But it would be better to know and deal with it appropriately, than to do nothing.

please go to the dr right away while there is something there that they can see and test. otherwise you may miss the opportunity for the dr to have the best idea of what is happening.

if they try to put you off be dramatic and emphasize the pain and that this is urgent.

since you are a virgin in everyway it is unlikely that it is herpes but you need to see the dr.
