when I was having sex I used protection except for the last relationship I was in we were together for 2-3 yrs. My question is when I was a little kid I always had cold sores/fever blisters and i used blistex for it, or when i was really stressed out i would start itching in and around the genital area. Now i just had my first genital outbreak. i havent had anytype of outbreak in 10+ years. i know its possible for it to go dormant but is it possible for the virus to become reactive in another area such as the genitals

if you had it in the gentials, its possible for it to go dormant, then reactivate.
but it sounds like you might have a) transfered it to your genitals, or B) gotten it from sex. cause condoms wont always protect you from herpes.
