i recently found out a female i gave oral sex to has herpes..... she apparently wasnt having an outbreak when this happened or i would have noticed something....this happened almost 5 months ago.... recently i noticed a few bumps on my penis and at times it itches...this is the first possible STD i have ever contracted so im really freaking out...can someone share some info with me

If she was shedding the virus, (most of the time you wouldn't even notice) than unfortunatly you could have caught the virus... Chances are you didn't catch it because you'd most likely see something within 20 days after exposure...
