I had a good day
Question: My pain is subsiding, the blisters are healing. I still haven't received word from my doctor what my official diagnosis is (although there really is no mystery!) I think I've realized that knowing what's going on is a hell of a lot better than looking down and going "uh, oh my god...what?" I almost feel a bit empowered because now I know what I need to do to keep myself, as well as my future partners, healthy. (As opposed to closing my eyes, counting to 10, and hoping the symptoms will just go away) Sound corny? Yes maybe. But damn it feels good to have a good day after two weeks of constant panic and shame! Answer: Congratulations boy do I know that feeling. Now you can start counting good days. Have you called your dr to see if they have the results yet? I really like your attitude. Keep it up. Answer: just got off the phone with the fine people of planned parenthood. Positive for hsv-1, (not to mention a UTI, yeast infection, and vaginitis! the nurse said "you had a lot of stuff going on down there!") and when the nurse told me that I actually started to laugh and was like "well, I guess if I had a choice between the two...that's the one I'd like to go with." Answer: BB, glad you had a good day. It does feel good to be able to smile and jsut forget for a second. By the way, does anyone know if Valtrex causes weight gain? just curious. Again, congrats BB. Hope you have many more good days to come.
