Bladder infections and HSV2
Question: I have been wondering if my problem with having frequent bladder infections, might have anything to do with me having HSV2. I have had 4 bladder infections this year so far, and two back to back almost with only a few weeks break. I didn't know if this is something others have experienced having HSV2 also or not. Angel Answer: I don't know that I've had that but I've read of others who have. To prevent bladder infections you need to make sure you drink plenty of water at all times and increase the acidity by also drinking cranberry juice if you can or taking cranberry tablets. The increase in acidity will keep bacteria growth down and discourage the infection from starting. It is also important to keep things very clean down stairs. Sometimes detergents or exercise can irritate the urethra. It is likely that the hsv aggrevated the problem and that they aren't healing 100% before the next one comes along. You want to get this under control because each time you have one you weaken the bladder as a muscle and it can lead to incontinence. Answer: Barley water is great for bladder infections, and as caliope says PLENTY of water. Hope you are feeling better soon. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
