Extremely sore but monogomous
Question: I'm not really sure what to think. This whole thing doesn't make sense, but in the end, I am so sore I can barely sit, and my privates are a raging red. I apologize for the graphic explanation, but honestly, I'm very concerned, and feel it's necessary to give as much detail as I can... Last Thursday I decided to push myself, and go for a 4 mile bike ride. I wear thong bikini underwear, and by the time I got home I had a SERIOUS chafing issue. I was completely raw in a few places. I put some salve on my privates, and didn't think much about it. I then spent Saturday with my boyfreind, with whom I've been completely monogomous for 8 months. We had sex on Sat night, and on Sunday morning. Sunday, I was not well lubed, so I tore a bit, and was bleeding slightly. On Sunday we went boating with some freinds in a rather algae infested and not-so-clean lake. By Sunday night, I was pretty inflamed and sore. By Monday morning I was so sore I could barely sit. When I got home from work, I checked in a mirror and noticed a bunch of white spots at the bottom of my vagina. That freaked me out, so I went to the internet to see if I could figure out what they were from. They looked similar to the pics of genital warts, but not the red blisters like the herpes photos. By Tues night, the entire area was fire engine read and very sore. I stopped and bought some cotton 'Granny panties', which I put on as soon as I got home. By morning, things had settled down a bit, but after sitting in a desk all day, the area was getting sore again. By the end of day Wed (today) it was less sore, and I am now sitting home with very lose shorts & no underwear & it seems to be getting better by the minute. The thing is, I was with a man for 2 years. We broke up last July. I had unprotected sex one time in July, and then did not have sex with another man until my current BF, who as I said I've been with for about 8 months. Can a STD lay dormant for that long? I seem to have alot of the signs, but this is the first problem I've ever had. I'm not sure if it could have been that one one-night-stand, if my BF isn't being honest, or if maybe this could be something totally unrelated?? Can you shed any light?? Answer: yes stds can lay dormant for years, and then just pop up. usually something causes this > and from your recent experiences i would def say it can cause a ob.. and it only takes a few seconds for you to be exposed/ and infected. it also can be totally unrelated, as i have worn a thong once and my jeans were a little to loose and caused some serious rubbing, which led to one really raw crotch, and then you had sex, and the water .. EGH... i suggest you do get tested asap. cause you had way to many things going on that can cause a issue unrelated to herpes. or everything that happen could have kick started the virus.
