2 BIG bumps

Question:
Hi Everyone,
Im 19 and have had the same partner for 4 years. Only ever been w/ him and hes only ever been w/ me.
Ok so Let me start from the beggining.
In november, I got this BIG bump like thing on my v lips. (outside) It had no head just a BIG kind of round bump that was hard. It was like something under the skin, It didnt itch, but if i toutched it it felt sore. No burning or anything like that. I went to the doc. (obgyn) and told her my story she looked at it and said "ingrown hair" so iwas fine and about 2 weeks later it was gone. Now I have 2 big bumps. both on the lips on my vigiana but one is on one side at the top and the other is on the other side.at the bottom. there far apart. SAME kind of "Bump" as before. no head hard, under the skin like bump. sore to the touch like the other.
What do you think this could be? Im thinking maybe cysts? ingrown hairs ( but I though they had a hair commping out of them" plus i dont shave where they are. hopefully not "h" any opian would help!! thanks!
Britt

Answer:
sounds like an ingrown hair. There isn't suppose to be a hair coming out of them. They are ingrown, so they are trapped under the skin causing a bump and pain. If You are still unsure, go see another doc for a second opinion.

Answer:
Could be a bacterial infection - thats how my gyno diagnosed mine, a bump that was round and progressivily got bigger, then went down and went away. Its not neccisarily an std, its an overgrowth of bacterial flora that can be casued by an off balance in your body or even by wiping yourself wrong. Go back to your gyno - it doesnt sound like herpes, but show it to the doc before it goes away. I dont know much about cysts, and i guess if she said before it was an ingrown hair shes most likely right. Just go back to a good gyno and have her look at it again to be sure before it goes away.

Thanks everyone for your reply. It really helps to make me feel better.
I have a few more ?'s though, can you get a ingrown hair in places that you don't shave in? I thought you only got them in places that are irratated by raser, etc. I dont shave there, but it's where the hair almost stops. I hope you know where I;m talking about. That bactreal infection cought my eye. I will do a search to try and find out more. Did your doctor do a h test on you before saying it was a bactrial infection.? I''m such a hyprocondract I hardly trust doctors. I cant afford to go to the doctor agian, and have them tell me the same thing. Wish I could though. Is it true that h is ALWAYS "Clusters" of bumps? Or can you have h with just one or 2 bumps?
Ok well hope I get more feedback, you all are such big help.
Thanks agian,
Britt

Answer:
I know what you mean about not believing doctors. She was sure, she said she could spot herpes from a mile away. I highly doubt both of our docs were wrong - thats actually how she figured out what the problem was, from the bump, and she ran cultures to be sure. Herpes can look like many different things, not always clusters, not always even bumps while your having an outbreak - but I highly doubt that you have it - especially becasue you noticed none of the other symptoms. You dont have to shave to get an ingrown hair - Just what you said about the 2 week time frame makes me believe its what i had. Just find a gyno that you really trust, keep up your research so you know what to ask her, but dont believe everything you read! Hope that helps, hey is your name Brittany too, thats funny, i'm the only one i know that spells britt with two t's. take care and see that doc asap to put your mind at ease - just sound demanding when you call and they will somehow manage to fit you right in. Stay positive! let me know if you want what happens - also, if it is an overgrowth of bacterial flora, i recommend treatment of herbs, food, and minerals, the antibiotics never seem to help me, but thats me.

Anyone else have a advice?
Anyone else ever had just one or 2 bumps?
Please somemore adivce
Britt

Answer:
I think the only advice left is get to a gyno before the bumps go away. If that still does not convince you - get a blood test.

Answer:
my doctor told me that I had an ingrown hair/or folliculitis on my penis. Your description (red bump, no head, feels hard like there's something underneath) matches exactly what I have. Almost a month later the hair has started to come through...very slowly. I tested negative for H, and the spot is begining to go away, but I still can't help but be really nervous.
