I have a rash on my buttock and anus,,could it be herpes? I don't have any other symptom at all. I felt the tingling and itching before it became a rash though...and I also had unprotected sex with my gf while I was feeling the itch and also in the middle of having the rash ,,,but she dosen't feel any symptoms at all. do you guys think it might be herpes?

the symptoms are the same as you might have with herpes but the only way to be sure is to see a dr and get some testing.

you can have a swab taken of the affected area and a herpes specific bloodtest to determine if the symptoms are caused by herpes.

If you see the dr and they don't think it is herpes insist on being tested for herpes anyway. And if they think it is something else be tested for that too. It is better to be safe than sorry.

if it is herpes you put your gf in a very risky position and possibly infected her, as the virus is most contagious in the shedding stage, right before, and after a outbreak.
