Complications In the Pubic Region
Question: Okay, here's the story .. The first time I had sex with this girl, I pulled my penis through my folded hole in my boxer briefs. The next day or so, I noticed I had, what looked like, a bunch of ingrown hair only at the base of my penis. I concluded these bumps were from the boxers being so snug around my penile base and the friction of the sex. So, I decided to pull the hairs out for whatever reason. The pores healed just like any other ingrown hair I've had before on my arms or legs. Most with minor scabs that disappeared quickly. After that "outbreak," I continued to have sex with the same girl for about 4 weeks. We decided to stop having sex and stopped. About 2 weeks after I stopped having sex with her, I've noticed a tingling sensation at the base of my penis, right where the hairs where. The skin seems to be slightly rashed, but no pussed filled blisters. There are small red bumps, but no pussing or indents. I checked all the pictures of herpes I could find on the internet and mine don't match with any of them. I was thinking maybe the tingling I was feeling was because of mentally thinking about it all the time, like I has herpes. Well, that's it for the story. I'm looking for any insight regarding my condition. Anything about seeing a doctor is not nessecary. I know that if it's really a problem, which it could be, that I should see a professional. For now, I care only for personal opinions from people with herpes, or that have vast knowledge surrounding the virus. Thanks. - Porsche Answer: Hi, I think... that my comment doesn't mean anything (you know why :) ), but..... Everyone experiences herpes symptom differently, but in my opinion, herpes hurts! Especially when you get outbreak for the first time. Before you even suspect if it is herpes, herpes would tell you that something unusual is happening and you've got to go see a doctor as soon as possible. That's herpes to me. But there ARE people who have no symptom or very mild symptom. I got it from a person who had no perceptible symptom. So... well... what can I say... I guess, as you know, there is only one way to find out the truth.. Best wishes.. Faith Answer: Yes, yes, I should consult my physician. This outbreak doesn't hurt at all though. If I had to rate the 'pain' on a scale from 1 to 10, I would give it a 3. Which is nothing more than a slight itch. The only reason why I choose not to see a Dr. is because I'm under my parent's insurance and I don't want them to freak out if they get some bill that say I was in for STD screening. I don't even want them to know about this, period. I guess I'll just have to decide whether or not I want to face the music. You know... your health is much more important than anything that you may have to deal with because of the bill... OK? Best wishes.. Most definately. I am keeping an eye on my condition and researching the topic throughly. As soon as there's any major complications, I'm in the Doctor's office for sure.
