hi.PLEASE HELP!!a few months ago, I shared a soda with a friend who i think may have had herpes, and a few weeks later i got a bump on my lip--it looked like a pimple, and ive had a few more since then. But today i took a shower and found a painful sore on my vag...mind you, i havent had sex or anything.i think i got genital herpes from myself by touching my genitals after touching my lip, even though i dont remember doing it!!is that possible???:confused:

well unless you know 100% that, that person had it you cant place any blame. herpes can lay dormit in your system for years. also you have to rem, when you kiss one person, you are kissing everone they ever kissed -so the same would go for sharing drinks- so unless your sexualy ready to have anything this person has, dont share anything. i wont even let my sister drink from my stuff (also a germ issue)
you would be suprised what you could have caught from that drink. herpes would be the least of your worries

its equally possible you already had it previously to sharing the drink so dont focus too much on that. There's many possibilities of where you could have got it, if you do have it.
