if i have a canckor sore does that mean i have herpes?

sometimes they can be because of herpes.
it depends on whats going on.

a canker sore, all by itself, located like on the inside of your lip, is not a result of herpes.
but if you get them on the harder parts of your mouth like the gum lines, roof of mouth, and get more then 1, like in clusters then its a result of herpes.

but you have to take into account that things can trigger canker sores just like herpes- so if you had some mouth trama, you might have more then 1 canker sore.
but if you are just getting canker sores, in clusters for no apparent reason> most likely herpes
