Has anybody had a culture taken of type-1 H? i understand that the symptoms are generally less severe than type-2, but was wondering if people that DO have type-1 on their genitals have had open sores or spots that actually do open up?

i missed the window to have a culture on my "issue", but had blood work done and doc said i have both 1 and 2. my one and only ob was 3 pimples in a line more where you would have razor burn and not close to my vagina. i can only assume that m type 1 is genital since i have never ever in my life had a cold sore????:confused::confused:

I just found out I have HSV-1 today they did it by a blood test and I'm assuming I have it gentailly. It hasnt been that bad really I can walk and only one small bump.8-)
