Hi about 14 days ago, I had oral sex with my girlfriend for the first time. This was the first time i had some sort of sexual contact with anyone. She told me I was her first too. After giving oral sex, a couple of hours later i started noticing a cold sore. Nothing is wrong with my genitals so far. I seem to be paranoid and think that im having all these sorts of sypmtoms. Am I being paranoid or do i have herpes. Please help me thank you

kind of itches down there, but i didnt have any outbreaks except cold sore on the side of my lips. Can someone tell me if i caught genital herpes? if yes im deciding to break up with my girlfriend so she can go out with another guy instead of someoen who has herpes.

I think you might be a little paranoid. Have you researched herpes on the internet. It usually takes about 3 days or more for a outbreak to occur after you have initially been affected, it took me about 4 days but everyone is different, plus the initial infection most of the times the worse and a person will get a rash or something to that matter. If you haven't had sexual relations with anyone else, you more than likely are just feeling a little paranoid because it was your first time. But go and see your doctor if you have any questions, its a little emarassing at first but it feels so much better when you talk to someone face to face about it. One more thing to add, Talk to your girlfriend about it becuase holding a secret like that isn't very fun in a relationship. A person thinks about it constantly and wants to get it out but does not know when the right time is, so you'll just keep waiting and waiting and waiting until you can't handle it anymore. It is so worth it to say something and talk through it with her. Good luck.
