My story...I'm still a bit confused
Question: A few days before the 4th of july I noticed a small red dot on the most upper part of my butt. Ingrown hairs aren't uncommon in that area, so I assumed thats what it was. Several days later, it became painful and blisters appeared. I looked up foliculitis on the internet and staph infection and the pictures looked similar. I went to the doctors with my mom to get it checked out, she thought it was a spider bite. The doctor immediately took a culture and said that it appeared to be either a staph infection or herpes. I was extremely upset with his diagnosis and refused to believe I could have that. A few days later the staph culture came back positive and I threw out the thought of having herpes. Until my herpes culture came back positive as well. I was and still am extremely confused on how I have HSV-2 on my upper butt. I had a gyno appointment the week before. They took a biopsy, a smear, and did a cervical scrape. Everything came back as normal and healthy. I have only been with 2 guys in over 4 years. They are the only 2 guys I've had unprotected sex with, one of which includes my current bf. The other guy is a guy I dated when my current bf and I broke up. As far as my sexual history goes prior to 4 years ago, it is very minimal and I used protection. The guy I dated while my bf and I were apart said he had a test done 6 months ago and it came back negative. Just to be sure he had another one done and it also came back negative. While my current bf and I were broken up he had protected sex with some girl and messed around with two others but according to him they didn't have intercourse or oral sex. That was last June or July. I haven't told him yet and he thinks it was just a staph infection. We have been having unprotected sex since we've been back together but he doesn't show any symptoms. I have a horrible immune system and he rarely gets sick maybe once a year if that. I'm confused as to why its on my almost lower back and nowhere near my genitals. This is kind of personal but we have had anal sex does anyone know or think this could be how I got it. Also, I was wondering if anyone has good insurance and could tell me approximately how much they end up paying for meds and how well they've worked for them. Also, does anyone have breakouts in the same vicinity and not near the genitals? Answer: If you believe that your body can talk, what do you think it had to say about anal sex? Herpes sores are not red..they are clear to yellowish blisters with redness around the cluster of blisters, and normally they are in clusters. Did you happen to have an opening of the skin? That is the only way the virus is able to get in on the surface of the skin (your buttock). Do you recall if you have a cut or open wound or open blemish or some sort? In any event, I would get a second opinion. Get tested again to make sure the diagnosis is correct before you go for meds. I currently have a herpes outbreak. It is on the palm of my hand. This is because I wiped with an open sore and from then on had the virus on my finger, which spread to my hand. For this present treatment, I decided to use herbal remedies. I use bottled Echinacea Astragalus, licorice and Melissa (lemon balm), each are about $10. I take these remedies about 3x a day or whenever I remember. I consume garlic normally in the AM having coffee (bravely I will add), 25 cents and made my own cream using: beeswax cream with vit e $5, mixing in ground cinnamon, ground lavendar, approx $4. I apply the cream once a day and put on a bandaide. The very next day of this ritual, I saw results. The itching stopped, the spreading stopped and to my surprise, the clusters started to solidify. I wish you the best. Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
