I had unprotected sex about a month ago and now I have a fairly large red bump on the lower shaft of my penis. It showed up about five days ago and seems to be getting a little worse each day. It doesn't itch at all, and I wouldn't even know it was there if I couldn't see it. What are the odds that this isn't herpes?

spidey...It would be a good idea to have a doctor take a look while the red bump is still there. The fresher the bump the better your chances are for an accurate swab culture. It really doesn't do any good to have people here shoot off odds to you.

Thanks. I'm just really freaked out, but I'm starting to think it could be an ingrown hair based on it's position. It's not a blister and it doesn't itch, so I guess that's a good sign (According to what I've read anyway).
