Do you think i have herpes? Please say no, pic attached for help!
Question: Well, here is my story. I would like some peoples opinions on if they think this is herpes or not. I know, I know, for a definite answer I need to go to a Doctor for a test or two, but first I would like your opinions. I just turned 22 years old. Within 1 year I only had sex twice. Once was with an escort (stupid I know) it was only sex and I used a condom the whole time, this was about 5 months ago. This July 12th to be exact (a month ago). I went to a strip club with my friend and we got a private room and I had sex with a stripper. Only sex again and also used a condom the whole time. Well, on Thursday, August 9th I had one of the worst days of my life, incredible stress work related and financially. I was seriously depressed the whole day, and I am never an un happy person like that, so it was VERY rare. I went to the gym later that night to take my mind off things, and I felt an itch around my groin area. Naturally I itch it, but it hurt really bad. I ignore it since the pain went about in about 15 seconds. I get home 2 hours later and looked and I see about 6-7 bright red spots almost like new pimples ay the base of the shaft of my penis and some on my testicles near the base of the shaft. I freaked out and got worried and started searching the net for info, and came across herpes after spending a few days reading about it day and night I fear it is herpes now. It came out fast, when I was at the gym. I know it was not there when I left for the gym since I actually well, (masturbated) right before i left. I hate to admit it, but I just want to tell the WHOLE story here. For the past week I have been having annoying pain around my groin area on the left side which is now the side the red spots are. I figured the groin pain is from working out since I go to the gym and work out a lot seriously and leg press about 850lbs. So I said I must have pulled something since I been doing a lot of new leg exercises. Well, today which is Saturday, the red spots are still there only they are lightning a little more now and I see a black tiny dot in the middle of them which appears to possibly be a scab. They do not hurt or bother me at all unless you touch them hard, or rub it. Other then that and the pain in the groin which apers to me my lymph nodes after more research that is all I am experiencing. I am attaching a picture of my spots so that you can let me know what you guys think it is, and where they are. I been putting cortaid cream on it to stop itchiness or redness, I am not sure if it helps. So that is my story and i PRAY this is not herpes. I know I would still need to go to the doctor to find out for sure, but then again, besides the risk of me spreading it, what more can a doctor really do for me since we all know there is no cure IF it is herpes. But someone please tell me it probably isn't? Thanks Answer: Hi mate, I cant tell you as im waiting for someone to repl to my thread as well. What i can tell you is that the the tuament and stress of possibly thinking you have it and not knowing is hard. The only thing to do is get to the GU Clinic, its the only way, dont do as i do but cant stop my self from doing is, diagnosing yourself from websites, as you read the symptons and the stress makes your mind believe that you have these also! There are so many conditions outhere that your symptons could be. The people on this site though do seem to be very helpfull and have vast knowledge, the reason why i have signed up aslong as wanting someone to talk about it instead of sitting here on my own playing on my mind over and over! I take it you are looking every minute for some one to reply like me? Answer: From what you wrote it does sound like you may have it, which is absolutely not what you want to hear!! So sorry, but I figure hearing the truth is better. My personal experience is I have had this SHIT for 15 years and I have had periods of sheer bliss (I took Famvir 1000 mg/day for 4 years without a single breakout) to now nothing seems to be working so I am getting it every day. I know a lot of people have it and I am the worst case I have EVER heard of so don't fret. Right now I am in search of answers, but if I can help people from my own experience I felt I should do that as well. Not only do I have it vaginally, but also got it on my upper thigh!!! (long story on that one!) The doctors don't really seem to understand this stuff from my experience.. The reason I say this is I don't necessarily get blisters.. I get these "cuts".. you would NEVER know it is herpes. The systems for me are I start to feel worn down (flu like symptoms), then aching all over the area, then the final finally of the breakout.. which lasts from a day to a week. And also it can it too!! UGH Anyhow, instead of working yourself into a further frenzy just go into the doctor's office and get a blood test to see if you have it. While it isn't the end of the world (your not going to die from it) it does suck I know. Take care of yourself and I hope you don't have it!! Answer: Have they ever did a platelet count on you yet suz? They need to if your having daily outbreaks. Jvo49 that does look like small outbreak.. you could have had it before and not realized it they have to do a antibody check to see if you have had herpes before if you have no antibodys you have just gotten it. Still going to a doctor is a big thing if you don't have insurence then go to a free clinic. Herpes isn't that bad you could have far worse std's. Time is very importiant if you do have herpes to keeping yourself from a super long and painful first outbreak. Answer: Thanks for the replys. Just a few more questions maybe some can answer. Lets assume it is herpes for a minute. Will that spot where the red marks are now be the only spot i will get them if they do ever come back? They wont ever be anywhere else? like my face or anything right? Is it possible to have a weak case of herpes? meaning this can be my worst outbreak and others will be much less or none? Last, i know i need to go to a doctor to get checked. Thing is, i still live with my parents and my father is a doctor and i use all his friends or my father as a doctor. I know if i tell him i see marks he will have it checked and say it is herpes...... i just do not feel like explaining my sexual life to my parents right now, especially with the last 2 people i had sex with, it is not anything to brag about. Answer: I don't speak form first hand experience, but I've read a lot about herpes. A few things: - I looks like you shave your hair. If you did that just before this appeared, maybe you got some ingrown hairs that got irritated (maybe from masturbating). - They say usually the initial outbreak would occur within 2 weeks of exposure, but that's not always the case. - I don't think the pain in your groin is a good sign. - Find an STD clinic in your area (or near your area if you're concerned about someone you know seeing you.) I'm sure they see people like you all the time and are understanding. - There is some sort of antiviral drugs they can give you during the initial outbreak of herpes. I'm not sure if this helps reduce symptoms in the future. You can ask the doctor when you see him. - If it is herpes, you can spread it to other parts of your body especially during the initial outbreak, so make sure you don't touch the sores then touch other parts of your body. Wash your hands. I'm not sure how much/often you should wash your genital area, like if that will irritate it or spread it more. I do shave, and i shaved maybe about 5 days before this all appeared. I been showing twice a day now and rubbing the soap on that area to keep it clean. At first i was not sure what it was, so i figured that keeping it clean would be a good idea. Today it is still there, but it is getting less and less noticable everyday now. Well, that gives you hope. You should really go get a blood test somewhere. At this point you can't do anything to change whether you have herpes or not. You may as well get the test sooner than later so you can stop worrying. Good luck! Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.thanktoday.com
